Edna Mae Vance, 72, was North Vernon homemaker
Edna Mae Vance, 72, of North Vernon died Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Ron Bridgewater will officiate. Sawyer-Pickett Fune-ral & Cremation Service handled arrangements.
A homemaker, Mrs. Vance was a member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and crossword puzzles.
Born August 20, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Vance was the daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Fraasman Tippitt. She married Johnnie Vance on April 12, 1958. He survives.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Johnnie Vance, Jr., of North Vernon; three daughters, Debbie (Jeffrey) Feaster of Franklin, Denise (Martin) Quintana of Junction City, Kansas and Melissa (Randy) Gross of North Vernon; three brothers, Bill Tippitt of Sunman, Jim Tippitt of Cincinnati, Ohio and Ray Tippitt of Lawrenceburg; a sister, Pat Cowans of Lawrenceburg; 14 grandchildren, Denny, Jeremy, Jennifer and Stephanie Feaster, Randy Jr., Kevin, Kayla, Laura and Renee Gross, Elizabeth Wills, Michael Quintana, Susan Elizalde, Theresa Frewerd and Marylin Vance Burton and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Vance; an infant son and a sister, Betty E. Roszell.
