Timothy Monaghan had been director of local emergency management
Timothy "Tim" Joseph Monaghan, 55, of West Liberty, Kentucky and formerly of North Vernon, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in West Liberty, Kentucky. Visitation will be at the church Saturday at 9:30 a.m. until time of the Mass. Coffman-Adams Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Monaghan was an Indianapolis native and a 1976 graduate of Plainfield High School. While in Jennings County, Mr. Monaghan was director of the Jennings County Emergency Management Agency and was also a member of the Red Cross Advisory Board. He enjoyed making vintage reproduction fire helmets.
Born October 11, 1957 in Indianapolis, Mr. Monaghan was the son of Audrey Ruth Amos Monaghan and the late John E. Monaghan.
Survivors include his wife Jennifer Thornberry Monaghan of West Liberty, Kentucky; one daughter, Hannah Monaghan of West Liberty, Kentucky; mother, Audrey Monaghan of Indianapolis; three brothers, Patrick (Robin) Monaghan of Carmel, Michael (Beth) Monaghan of Indianapolis and Stephen (Stephanie) Monaghan of Clayton; two sisters, Frances (Gerry) Ryan and Catherine Bailey, both of Indianapolis.
Mr. Monaghan was preceded in death by his father, John E. Monaghan in 2011.
