Colleen Rork, 84, of Edinburgh died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Alan Rork officiating. Burial will follow in Rockcreek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Rork moved to Nebraska at the age of six and was raised by John and Blanche Gwin. She graduated in 1947 from Zenas High School and had been employed as secretary for the Columbus Scale Company for 20 years. Mrs. Rork enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bowling.
Born September 6, 1928 in Anderson, Mrs. Rork was the daughter of Richard Elmer and Florence Marie Sturgis Gwin. She married Donald Rork, Sr. in Westport on October 5, 1947. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1999.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jane Rork of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Betty (Mitchell) Coombs of Cumming, Georgia; stepsisters, Reba (Ray) Sims of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Noval (Richard) Brunsman of McComb, Ohio and Charlotte Koons of Richmond; stepbrothers, Gary (Judy) Poe of Union City, California and Arnold Poe of Clearwater, California; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Anthony Richard Rork, Sr. and Donald Rork, Jr.; stepsister, Maxine Jobe and stepbrother, Donald Keenan.
