Jacqueline E. Higgins worked for DSI in NV
Jacqueline "Jacqui" Elaine Higgins, 27, of North Vernon died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison with Rev. Mike Shuler and Rev. Adam Faulkner officiating. Calling will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison.
Miss Higgins was raised in the Canaan community and was a 2004 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She was employed for the past nine years with Developmental Services in North Vernon. Miss Higgins enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed collecting Marilyn Monroe memorabilia, bowling, movies and reading. She was an organ donor.
Born August 6, 1985, in Louisville, Kentucky, Miss Higgins was the daughter of John Matthew and Deborah Kiser Higgins, who survive.
Other survivors include a sister, Heather (Luke) Burress; grandparents, John F. and Barbara Hart Higgins of Canaan; many aunts and uncles and great aunts and great uncles as well as cousins.
Miss Higgins was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hobert and Susan Kiser.
