Chester Lee Asche, 84, was a Korean War vet
Chester Lee Asche, 84, formerly of Osgood died Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood. Burial was in the Mud Pike Cemetery near Osgood.
Mr. Asche was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He had been a lineman for Union Hall in Indianapolis for 30 years and had attended Cedar Creek Community Church of Osgood. He was a past member of the Keene Henneke VFW Post of Napoleon and also had been a member of the Osgood Odd Fellows.
Born October 15, 1928 in Osgood, Mr. Asche was the son of Clarence Theodore and Mary Daisy Schmaltz Asche.
Survivors include a son, Theodore Earl (Amber) Asche of North Vernon; daughter, Marlene (Brian) Overshiner of Fischer; brothers, Wayne (Pat) Asche of Versailles, Kim (Anna Mae) Asche of Slidell, Louisiana, Ralph (Patty) Asche of Milan and Roger Asche of Osgood; sister, Evelyn Hummel (Bob) Banchback of Rising Sun and grandchildren, Saylor Asche and Alexandra and Olivia Overshiner.
Memorials may be given to the Mud Pike Cemetery through the funeral home arrangements.
