Elsie J. Howard Day, 61, of Seymour grew up in the state of Kentucky

Elsie J. Howard Day, 61, of Seymour died Friday, April 5, 2013 in an auto accident in Jennings County.

Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel in Seymour Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Robert Franklin officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday after 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. Day was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church in Seymour. She worked 30 years at Valeo Sylvania and was an avid bowler with her Monday Night Ladies. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and baking.

Born, April 2, 1952 in Hyden, Kentucky, Mrs. Day she was the daughter of Lawrence and Oma Witt Howard. On February 12, 1977, in Seymour, she married William "Bill" Day who preceded her in death on December 31, 2007.

Survivors include her children, Autumn J. (Timothy) Weber and Larry W. (Kristina) McIntosh; granddaughters, Sophia Joy Weber and Valerie Marie McIntosh; brothers, Reed, James, Leslie "Les" and Lawrence Howard Jr., and sisters, Norma Nantz, Lola Wilson, Shirley Burkhart, Phyllis Dixon, Gayla Howard, Reva Dixon, Bonnie Franklin, Connie Ridgeway and Penny Haywood.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, L.O. Howard and sisters, Ollie and Goldie Howard.

Memorials may be written to Riley Children's Hospital or March of Dimes.

Tonight will be a sad for all the bowlers without seeing Elsie. She was lot of fun to kid around with. She will be sadly missed. She was a wonderful lady.
