Donald H. Eubank, 79, had his own barber shop
Donald H. Eubank, 79, of Greensburg died Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
Mr. Eubank was a 1953 graduate of Greensburg High School as well as a graduate of the Indiana Barber College. At the age of 13, he worked as a shoe shine boy at the Broadway Barber Shop and upon graduation from Barber College he worked there for Ben Licking for 18 years. He then later worked at the Bill Strasburger's Barber Shop in the Taylor Hotel for 19 years, and then owned the Eubank Barber Shop on N. Broadway Street in Greensburg from 1990 until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Greensburg.
Born January 16, 1934, in Greensburg Mr. Eubank was the son of Robert and Ida Jean Hacker-Eubank. On November 9, 1958 he married Gail Joan Davis in Westport and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Eubank is survived by a daughter, Janet Eubank of Greensburg and brother, Fred (Lyda) Eubank of Starkville, Mississippi.
Mr. Eubank was preceded in death by his parents.
