Christina Reynolds Motsinger, 80

Christina R. Motsinger, 80, of Bedford had ties to area

Christina Reynolds Motsinger, 80, of Bedford died at 6 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services were Monday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with Pastor Jack Belk officiating. Burial took place at Smallwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Motsinger graduated from Medora High School in 1950. She had lived in Bedford for the last 28 years and was retired from General Motors in Bedford. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and playing bingo. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora, and was a homemaker.

Born Nov. 18, 1932, in Sparksville, Mrs. Motsinger was the daughter of Lewis Everette Reynolds and Flavya Huffman Reynolds. She married Terry Baine Motsinger in 1951 in Medora.

Survivors include three children, Susan (Russell) Ackeret of Seymour, Kenneth Motsinger of Bedford and Terry B. Motsinger II of Columbus; four sisters, Martha Cikanck of Greenwood, Ruth (Jack) Hook of Springville, Illinois, Judith Guy of Monticello and Rebecca Kidd of Bedford; brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Salem; nine grandchildren, Karen Franks of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Christina Jordan of Alabama, Phillip Alan Motsinger of Florida, Jamie and David Ackeret, Jennifer Motsinger and Barbara Wyatt, all of Seymour, Justin Ackeret of Waynesville, Dara Jewel of Crothersville; 12 great-grandchildren, Phillip, Madison, William, Jordan, Haley, Hannah, Gabriel, Marissa, Raylan, Haley, Tyler and Destiny and one great-great-grandchild, Andrew.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alan Motsinger; an infant daughter, Mona Lisa Motsinger; three brothers, Lewis Eugene, Arthur and Edwin "Dick" Reynolds and two sisters, Helen Reicheba and Ila Jean.
