William E. Garrity, 72, of Commiskey drove a truck
William Edward "Bill" Garrity, 72, of Commiskey died at 10:28 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services were Monday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Danny Corbin officiating. Burial was in the Tea Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Garrity was a truck driver for 38 years driving for Grammer Industries and St. John's Trucking and driving for Eddie Maschino Farms. He was a 1956 graduate of Paris Crossing High School and a member of Weston Baptist Church. His enjoyments were singing, playing guitar, fishing and hunting.
Born February 19, 1939 in Jennings County, Mr. Garrity was the son of Edward Adair and Ires Taylor Garrity. He married Linda Sue Millspaugh on October 18, 1992, in Seymour. She survives.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons, Montie Bill Garrity of Amarillo, Texas, Cody Bill Garrity and Mike Garrity both of Hart, Texas and Robert Franks of Seymour; daughters, Rebecca Vigil, Cindy Davis and Shannon Bailey all of Amarillo, Texas and Lisa Booker of Bedford; sister, Wilma Binford of North Vernon; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
