Karen Joy T. Trilling, 50, dies in Rushville, Illinois
Karen Joy Thompson Trilling, 50, of Frederick, Ill., died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Snyder Vaughn Haven Nursing Home in Rushville, Ill.
A celebration of her life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville, Ill.
Mrs. Trilling worked at the Snyder Vaughn Haven Nursing Home and previously at Beardstown Hospital. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1978 and from Spoon River College as an LPN in 1983.
Born on Saturday, Dec. 5, 1959, in Rushville, Ill., she was the daughter of Forrest "Hoatsie" and Joyce Pryor Thompson. She married Gary Trilling on Oct. 18, 2003, in Rushville. He survives.
Other survivors include three stepchildren, Kim Trilling of Columbus and Kirstin and Alex Trilling both of North Vernon; two brothers William Thompson of Smithfield, Ill., and Chris Krouch of Henderson Nev.; and four sisters, Jane Billingsley of Jacksonville, Fla., Sandra Ganther of East Moline, Ill., Tamra Cowen of Chatham, Ill. and Lisa Roberts of Rushville, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Thompson.
Memorials may be made to the Snyder Vaughn Haven Activity Fund or Cass-Schulyer Area Hospice.
