Steele State Historic Site in Brown County on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. Following remarks and the groundbreaking ceremony, light breakfast fare and guided tours of the site will be offered.

Visit free exhibit of local artists at SICA
The September gallery exhibit at Southern Indiana Center for the Arts in Seymour features art from local and regional artists. The annual judged show brings in artworks of oil and acrylic paints, chalk and charcoal pastels, drawing pencils, scratchboard, photography and pottery.

Ghost walk begins at Lanier Saturday Sept 16
Madison, Ind. has one of the largest National Historic Landmark Districts in the country and there are a number of ghost stories attached to many of its historic structures. On Sept. 16, 23 and 30, and Oct. 21, 27, 28 and 29, the Lanier Mansion State Historic Site will conduct ghost walks beginning at 7 p.m. that will leave from the Lanier/Madison Visitor Center.
