Civil War music at festival
Civil War music at festival
The Rudicel Brass Band marches in the Sassafras Tea Festival's Citizens Parade on Saturday. Its members were dressed in Civil War clothing and played music from that era for the occasion. The group is, in front from left, Gene Rudicel, Shelby Gerth and Bob Rudicel; in row 2, Alden Rudicel, Eric Jarboe and Gabe Gerth; and playing the bass drum in back is Keith Collins. "We had a lot of fun at the festival, but it's tough to march and play music at the same time," reported Gene Rudicel with a chuckle.-Staff Photo by Bryce Mayer
