The Big Oaks Conservation Society is hosting an open house at the historic Old Timbers Lodge Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1 to 6 p.m.Access to the lodge will be from two gates on Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), Gate 1A (the gate on the east perimeter road near the white gatehouse) and gate 8, about one mile south of New Marion on Old Michigan Road.

Birds & Brew invites CF Snowbirds for a dazzling air show
The City of Columbus and Columbus Municipal Airport are pleased to announce that Canadian Forces (CF) Snowbirds flight demonstration team will be headlining the "Birds & Brew" event on Wednesday, September 18th from 4-8:00 p.m. This event will replace Columbus Aviation Day for 2019, traditionally held in June, as the community celebration of aviation in Columbus. This will be the first time the CF Snowbirds have ever been in Central Indiana. This event is free and the public is invited to attend.

Indy dance group brings flash and style to Exhibit Columbus on Sept. 14
The Columbus Area Arts Council will present a free performance by Dance Kaleidoscope, an Indianapolis-based contemporary dance company, in concert with Exhibit Columbus. The site-responsive performance will take place 11a.m. to noon on September 14, beginning at "Into the Hedge" by SO-IL on the Bartholomew County Courthouse Lawn before moving to "Entry Portal" by D. Martinez and E. Santiago at The Republic Building and ending at "Soft Civic" by Bryony Roberts at Columbus City Hall.
