Holidays concerts set at Columbus
The Columbus Indi­ana Philharmonic will present two performances of "Philharmonic Holi­days!" on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Columbus East High School's Robbins Audi­torium. The 3 p.m. concert is specifically designed for younger children and their families, and the 7:30 p.m. concert is also family-friendly. Santa will be present in the lobby before and during intermission at each concert.

Christmas parade, fireworks Saturday in Columbus
Columbus will mark the start of the holiday season with the 28th annual Festival of Lights Parade and Christmas music fireworks show on Saturday, Dec. 1.

See display of Christmas trees, creches at C'bus
The Bartholomew County Historical Society, 524 Third St., Columbus, will feature "Christmas Trees through Time" Dec. 1 through 20, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A visit with Santa and cookies will be available on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 12 until 4 pm. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged.

The Jennings County Historical Soci­ety's North American House in Vernon is now well past the seasonal transition from Hallo­ween to Christmas.

Now warmly decorated for the Christmas holiday, the North American House and museum are open Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
