Library has lots of programs for all kinds of people of all ages

Here are upcoming programs at the JC Public Library.
Note that all programs will take place in the conference rooms instead of the program room to allow for social distancing or will take place utilizing the main parts of the library.
Family Programs
Shrek Interactive Movie: Wednesday, July 8, at 6 p.m.
Join Shrek in a whirlwind adventure with Donkey to take back his swamp and rescue Princess Fiona. We'll eat slugs (gummy worms) and gumdrop buttons in this fun, interactive version of the original Shrek.
Summer Reading Closing Ceremony: Saturday, July 18.
It is time for us to come to "The End" of our Summer Reading Program. Join us for our prize drawing and to celebrate reaching our community goal of 1,000,000 minutes with Cincinnati Circus. They will be bringing a bounce house, water slide, games, and much more.
Fantastic Beasts Celebration:
Thursday, July 9, at 6 pm.
Celebrate the Wizarding Universe by joining us in the Teen Room for our Fantastic Beasts celebration. We will play one of the Fantastic Beasts movies, play some fun wizarding world games, and eat some themed snacks. Registration is required by Friday, July 3.
Cosplay Workshop:: Saturday, July 11, at 3 p.m.
And Sewing is Half the Battle will be leading this cosplay workshop. Participants will get the chance to learn how to make featherweight armor and be able to take it home. Registration is required by Monday, July 6, at 9 pm.
Breakout Room: Muggle Mystery: on Tuesday, July 14 at 6 pm.
Lord Voldemort has broken into the room and has left the most revealing of secrets. Do the Muggles have what it takes to decipher the clues and BreakOut? Muggles must register by Monday, July 13, at 9 pm.
Creative Scribe Hive: Wednesday, July 15, at 6 p.m.
Imagine your story and put it to paper. The library will provide notebooks for teens to unleash their creative words. Writing prompts will be provided, and teens will be welcome to provide prompts, or just write.
Children's Story Time
Storytime is a great way for little ones to work on speech development as well as learning to interact with other children of the same age. During storytime, the library, children can use their imaginations and interact with the books. During storytime, children sing dance and create a craft to go along with the story of the day.
Wild Things Story-time: Tuesday, July 7 at 6 p.m.
Wild Things Storytime: Friday, July 10 at 10 a.m.
Wild Things: Tuesday, July 14 , at 6 p.m. Ages 3-5 years

Children's Music Club
Wee One's Music Club complements storytime to offer another avenue of learning the important early literacy skills to set your child off on a healthy path through life. This program is designed for children ages 0-5 years old and their caregiver(s). Older siblings are also welcome! Come dressed to move-this one's a workout for the grown-ups!

LEGO Club is a great place for children ages 5-12 to practice their engineering skills! A new set of building challenges is available each time we meet. Look for your child's creations on the library's Facebook page following the meeting. Caregivers and older siblings are welcome to participate, too! Please, note that this program will be held in the conference rooms instead of the program room to allow for social distancing.
Mythical Creature Artwork: Thursday, July 9 at 1 p.m.
Young artists are invited to join Miss Katie for this program. We will be making a unique piece of art featuring our favorite fairytale and mythical creatures from a variety of materials.
Fandom Friday: Fortnite: Friday, July 10 at 12 p.m.
Children ages 7-12 join Miss Katie to make Slurp Juice Fortnite Slime. All materials will are provided. Please register by July 9.
