Matthew S.T. Henderson dies in a traffic accident

Matthew "Matt" Scott Thomas Henderson, 19, of North Vernon died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, in a traffic accident in Decatur County.

Mr. Henderson was a member of the National Guards. He enjoyed wrestling, boxing, reading and animals.

A celebration of his life was held Sunday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope.

Born Oct. 25, 1990, in Lawrence County, Ind., he was the son of Tom and Artina Doty Henderson of North Vernon. They survive.

Other survivors include two sisters, Tesla and Vivian Doty of North Vernon; and grandparents, Shirley Doty of North Vernon, Mary Henderson of Hope and Marci Doty of Nashville, Ind.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Charles Henderson. Another grandfather, Steven Doty Sr., died Feb. 25.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew Henderson Memorial Fund.
