All Jennings County government and North Vernon City government offices are closed to the public. Staffs are working, so call if you need assistance. The Town of Vernon is enacting prevention measures - All Vernon facilities, including the gym will be closed to the general public until further notice. The office will remain open to be contacted by phone. Restaurants and bars are closing via Gov. Holcomb's order. Take-out and delivery are still available.

Travel Advisory - Level Orange
Travel status by county, as of Friday, April 3. Jennings County's status will be upgraded to Level Orange effective Saturday, April 4, at 8 a.m.
Travel status by county, as of Friday, April 3. Jennings County's status will be upgraded to Level Orange effective Saturday, April 4, at 8 a.m.
The Jennings County Commissioners and officials from North Vernon and Vernon announced today that the travel status will be upgraded from yellow to orange, effective at 8 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, April 4.
Additionally, Gov. Eric J. Holcomb said today that he will extend his statewide Stay at Home order through Sunday, May 3. The official order will be signed Monday.
